Re: Battery Issue after Android Wear 2.0 Update Moto 360 2nd Gen

Hello,

I just encountered exactly the same issue as everyone else, at 39% the watch just dies and the only way to bring it back is to put it on charge, but even so it still dies when it gets to 39% again. Man I just bought it and I am really not happy about this and I am super worried thats since it's not on sale officaly through Motorola websie, the support is gone. Really since Lenovo takeover Motorola is all about new Moto G's forget the previous, sell as many as possible, make a new one, forget the previous. Seriously respond for once and work on fixing this issues guys!

Re: Battery Issue after Android Wear 2.0 Update Moto 360 2nd Gen

Hi to you all

Well I have exactly the same problem.

I send the watch to motorola, because is still in the warranty, and returns exactly the same.

Here is the report from Motorola.

Client report: With 70% of battery the equipment turns off

Moto report: Software fails

Solution: Software update :-).

Software update?

Well, before I send the watch to motorola, I do a factory reset.

Of course that when I turn on the watch the software was updated automatically, but I wrote that on the report that goes with the equipment

But the issue here is that the duration of the battery is exactly the same, it takes a day and half to reach the end.

And take a day and half to reach 70%, and then it turns off.

Regards

Carlos Godinho

:catvery-happy:Hello,

I have been having the same problems as everyone else after the very very very buggy 2.0 update.  The watch has been slow and unresponsive from time to time and let's not talk about the battery that use to last for almost two days shuts down at 70%.  Motorola/Lenovo needs to look into the update that wasn't even released properly and patch up the bug that's causing this.  Another thing Moto/Lenovo put ideas he community fix the problems with all the disclaimers u want :catfrustrated:.

same issue on my moto 360 sport, actually just got it back from repair for AW 2.0 basically crashing it where it wouldnt even turn on.  I assume its not worth trying to open another ticket and sending it in if it is a software problem now.  See my screen shot, went from 80% to off randomly and then back on at 10% battery.  Only got it to turn back on after it placed on the charger.  Once it came back on, it was immediately at 12%, so it apparently wasn't really dead.

Have no idea at this point, I have loved Motorola products over the year, e815, razrs, Nexus 6, droids etc, hell even cable modems that i know arent the same company these days but this is the worst so far.

end rant.

It is extremely frustrating and has to be known by Lenovo on the issues that 2.0 has brought to the light. They need to step up and fix the issue period.

I have also started seeing battery issues on my Moto 360 Sport.

I wake up with it on charge at 100%. Within 3 or 4 hours, im down at 45%.

It used to last me a good 12-14 hours, but after AW2.0 it's unusable.

Moto/Lenovo, please inform us whats happening.

Guys, if you did a factory data reset and tested BEFORE installing or restoring ANY apps, and problem persists, then service/repair is next step.

Problem persists after factory reset and no installed applications. Read the entire thread the problems persists even after a factory repair.

This suggestion tells us how shameless a manufacturer can be...first u rollout AW2 update and ruin people's expensive watch and then shamelessly ask us to run to Moto service center for services/repairs. We dont have time to fix your mistakes Moto. Technical Incapability at its best. Let me see if i can raise an appeal in consumer forum against Moto/Lenovo. These forums are serving no good to so many suffering customers.
