Moto 360g2 broken, repair refused - do I need to make a court claim?

2016-10-22, 11:48 AM

My 10 month old Moto 360g2 has a broken screen (Bottom 2/3 full of junk pixels). Factory resest does nothing and Motocare categorically refuse to give advice or repair without a MSN number. They advise this is on the invoice but it is clearly not - I even gave them the invoice along with my order details. Naturally I no longer have the massive box and the watch is useless.

It seems ridiculous that my only recourse is to issue court proceedings over such a trivial matter when I have the watch in my possession and have given all the order/invoice info - has anyone else had similar problems?

I already gave them that, they didnt care. Hilariously they asked me to get the MSN number from the watch settings despite me advising 2 minutes earlier that the screen was totally useless.

I'm thinking they will just mess me around until the warranty expires which is why I'm consider legal action instead.

Many thanks.

May I ask if you are a moto employee or liaison or something along those lines?

I am a volunteer moderator, but i can escalate to a motorola employee that has the power to resolve issues.

OP - I only got a my watch back (unrepaired) after sending a letter using details from Citizens Advice. What was initially promised 7-10 days came back after two months of daily chase over phone and email.

Hi, can you please PM me the HSN number found on the back of the watch? It starts with 3Z2K.
