moto 360 3rd gen?

2017-03-04, 6:13 AM

I am wanting to buy a new watch. And wanted to know if i should wait for a rumored 3rd gen or if i should look somewhere else for a new watch. I bought the 360 sport cause i wasn't. Sure if i would like a smart watch So got the cheapest one. And i do like it but the band broke.  For some reason it is not letting me buy a 360 2nd gen on the Motorola Website. So should i wait for 3rd gen or move on?

I'm pretty sure Moto said they were not making any new watches for the "foreseeable future".  I do not believe there will be a 360 3rd Gen.  At least not anytime soon.

If you remember the Attic 4G, a ground-breaking marvel at the time (and probably the last flagship phone shipping with Motoblur, a completely unsustainable add-on skin), once Motorola decides a device is too much of a hastle to maintain they silently drop it. So I have yet another Motorola device that is seeing its last days.

I swore never to buy another Motorola device but the Moto 360 end Gen seemed to be a device that company was standing behind. They say the device is still in its on-line store but try to buy one.

Fk me once, shame on you; fk me twice, shame on me.

Yeah it seems like they don't make money on these things. In my opinion it's because they don't get them out there on the market. I can only find Motorola products at Verizon. But any other store I go to its all Samsung and apple. I don't understand the stranglehold Verizon has on Motorola. The people in marketing need to be fired. Come on man we need Motorola in every store like it used to be period.

It's to maintain their exclusive Droid line. Motorola still supplies Verizon with carrier exclusive Droids (which are similar to the Motorola's other low-to-mid range phones but sold only by Verizon.

I like the idea of a Moto 360 Gen 3, and would buy one myself.  Unfortunately Moto announced last year that they were done making smart watches.  I think they said "for the foreseeable future..."
