Using a Moto 360 Gen 1 Without A Phone

2020-10-14, 10:22 AM

Is it possible to use a Moto 360 Gen 1 without my Moto G5. I rarely use my G5 except for safety when I am away from home. If so, what are the functions, is there a tutorial for this. If so, I shall purchase a used Moto 360 in my area. Thanks, Ken.

The watch is synced with the phone. Considering the age of the watch you may not get full functionality from a used watch. There is also software version comptibility for watch and phone to consider.

The batteries in the Moto 360 Gen 1 and 2 cannot be replaced, so when buying a used model that might be something to keep in mind.

Just my opinion, but in the long run you may be better off buying a new watch with a warranty. That way, for the watch, you won't need to worry about a dying battery or old software for a few years.
