How to get out of AP Fastboot Flash Mode?

2015-12-20, 21:29 PM

Hi,

Bit of a problem. Picked up my phone to take a photo today, completely black screen. Wouldn't turn on. Held the power button down, got to AP Fastboot flash mode (secure) and can't get out of it. Been through every troubleshoot/ help page on Motorola I could find. Tried every combo of power/volume buttons, tried factory reset...

Will not do anything from AP screen except power off, or go to boot loader. If I try to start I get the Motorola screen for ~ a minute, and then back to AP.

Boot log says things like: failed boot image, fall through from normal boot process, reboot mode set to fastboot,

Previous to this was working fine, only 8 months old. Fully charged less than 24 hrs ago (says battery is OK), no updates for about 10-14 days, not modified or anything.

AP screen says some interesting things, mainly:

  • Baseband: <not found>

  • Software status: modified -- in AP mode, but if I get to bootloader with the little green guy on his back, it says Software status: official.

  • Console [NULL]: null

Anyone got any ideas what's wrong? Partner reckons a component is fried and we'll have to get a replacement. But it's less than a year old, and I'm a light user...

Cheers.

If a factory reset doesn't fix it, then service will be required. Based on what I see, service is required.

I recommend you post in the Lenovo Vibe forums - this is a 2 year old thread, and service is the only option for E2.

You could try rebooting without SD card if one is installed, but no one here really knows the Vibe P2 - you should ask on those forums on Lenovo side.
