Hi,

Thanks for writing to us. Let me check and help you here. I would like to inform you that Android OS is an operating system for your device. The battery consumption is mostly caused by some app or function which are continuously running in the background, the app which is actually responsible would never turn up in the list. For example, if Facebook or WhatsApp needs your location details, it will ask the Android System for information, hence, the battery consumption. Often, this app keeps waking the device in the background because once you give an app the permission to use location, contacts, etc. It won’t knock on your door the next time it needs the same information.

I would suggest you try restarting/power cycle the phone every 24-48 hours, it will close the background running application. Also, try clearing the all application cache(Settings>>Apps>>All Apps>>Tap on a particular application>>Tap on force stop>>Click ok>>Storage>>Clear Cache). Make sure all applications available on phone are up to date(Open Play Store>>Update all applications). Let me know how it goes.

Thanks

Sunitha

Dear User,

I’m not an official Lenovo or Moto agent but, Android OS is the operating system your device is running, the Moto E4 or E4 plus, they both have android 7.1.1, as I also have one, maybe because it has a lot of stuff and apps on your device, keep in mind the Moto E4 plus has 3 gb of ram, although mine has 2(or 1.8) gb of ram, and the E4 has 2gb, I recommend deleting old apps, or deleting old apps, you can root to make it faster, although I’m pretty sure it does not work on the moto e4 or e4 plus, also, the recommended app for deleting files is “Files by Google”. It’s really fast and can delete files within seconds, and just a really good file app over all.

Also, the “Android OS” app is taking battery cause you’re probably using it too much, or just the system is too overloaded, delete some old stuff, and another solution is well, (make sure the back up first)reset the entire phone, this will clear up anything and you can also restore your phone from the back up you made, anytime, by reseting again and choose set up phone with back up or something like that, also the recommended back up app is “Google One”, although android has its very own backup, it only backs up the device google one can back up most of info, and help clear useless stuff,

HOPES THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION

I’M ONLY RECOMMENDING THESE APPS AND NOT PROMOTING THEM
