Lost photos

This afternoon  my photos disappeared from my MotoE 2n. Generation. I took two photos just before I checked my "Photos" file. Those two are present in my phone, but the rest are gone.

There are just black images where there used to be photos. This happens in both "Gallery" and "Photos". There is a message in "Photos" saying that I have 1124 photos, but I had only about 220. These photos were on the SD card.

Everything else is working fine. I did nothing recently with the phone. I powered the phone down and back up.That did not affect it.

 Please advise.

 Bob

Re: Lost photos

I scroled down through a thousand blank photos, and I found my photos way at the bottom.

Is there a way to delete these blank photos besides one at a time?

Re: Lost photos

After I started to manually remove the blank photos. I had over a thousand to do, I got an idea, and that was to connect my phone to my computer and delete the rest of the blank photos.

It worked, but I wonder how it happened in the first place?

Re: Lost photos

Were the photos stored on the Phone or a Micro SD card?

I said in my original post that they were on the SD card. I have fixed the problem though.
