Re: Anybody having success with Android 6 Marshmallow?

2016-03-11, 14:28 PM

Got a great offer on Moto G3, and upgraded that to Android 6 Marshmallow before configuring it, and I must say, I'm very impressed. Smooth, stable and stunning 3½ days battery life. I really look forward to the 6.0 upgrade for my Moto G2.

Moto G LTE V1 (Android 5.1), Moto G2 (Android 5.0.1) and Moto G3 (Android 6.0)

Ok... Ok... Jason... Thats wonderfull that batterylife in your Phone is 20% but in my Phone its very bad. I need to charge my phone a lot of times now. And I feel my Phone very hoy. I unistall some apps to see if thats works. If you know something I can do to fix my issue let me know.

How many times a day are you charging your phone? What does your battery graph look like in settings (screenshot)? I'm a power user so I am pretty much charging the phone everynight. With a 2087  mAh battery anyone would be hard pressed to get more than a full day of usage unless the device is never is use.

Hi Marc, or anyone else who can help...

Did you do the factory reset while still in 5.x before the update or after you updated to Marshmallow (6.0)?

In 5.x I'm using an SD card for some applications (and pictures).  I've backed the card up to a PC, but is there anything else I should do?

I have "Backup my  data" set to on (set to my Gmail account).  Can I trust that to retrieve apps, saved usernames and passwords and other data?  Even if I do a factory reset (then, presumably, I restore)?

If the process is described somewhere, please point me.

Thanks..

Yes, my MOTTO G2 is up with Android 6 with latest update on Jan 01, 2016. It is better than earlier version.

I have currently problems with my Smartband SWR10 on Marshmallow.

Every 30 seconds the band disconnect (paired over Bluetooth).

Headset is working without problems over Bluetooth.

Tried a lot (disable battery optimization, reinstall, wipe cache, ...)

On Lollipop all was fine.

My next option is a factory reset ...

=> Stick on Lollipop if you have a Smartband SWR10.

Maybe with 6.0.1 this issue is solved.

Could just be that the Sony software is not compatible with Android 6. You can't blame Motorola or Google for that.
