Google Maps buggy since Marshmallow

2016-04-12, 18:23 PM

Moto G2 upgraded to Marshmallow and having problems with google maps since then.

GPS fix takes time and even when I am moving at 50-60 kmph the blue dot moves every 4-5 seconds not smoothly and continously as in lollipop and kitkat.

I have checked with other GPS apps and am sure that they do not loose the GPS fix. Problem occurs only with Google Maps.

Disable google maps and install a proper offline maps navigation app.
Try Mapfactor Navigator. I have used it since 2012, when I did a road-trip through Kansas and Colorado. It's free and you can use the openstreetmaps option also for free (I used these during my trip).
