Exchange Problem - Moto G 2nd Gen

Hi,

I configured by Corporate e-mail today on my Moto G 2nd Gen and found that it keeps on syncing again and again the same e-mails whenever I exit and restart the default e-mail app. For example:- It synced 1st time and I showed 55 unread emails then after exiting the app and restarting it causes it to sync again like 1.2.3.4....55 unread emails. Why is it so?

Help Please.

Thanks,

Nikhil

Re: Exchange Problem - Moto G 2nd Gen

Not sure, but I've heard that the pre-loaded Email app is rudimentary.

This post here illustrates one of the challenges found with the Email app, and the helpful user also recommended another app (Nine, which is free to try for 2 weeks, and currently on sale for half off at $9.99) for Exchange email that has been highly touted here in the forums.

Hope this helps!

Hi there

1. What version of Microsoft Exchange are you using?

2. Is it your work or someone else who is hosting?

3. Have you worked with your IT team?

Re: Exchange Problem - Moto G 2nd Gen

Hi Mark

1. Couldn't find the version of Exchange.

2. Yeah it is my work email.

3. Not yet.

Hopefully I found many threads on the web with same problem so I am not the only one with this problem. People say its a bug in KitKat. Hope Google will fix it soon.

As eaccents suggested, Nine is a great app but it takes much time in opening the app because I have around 40,000 emails in my account and all are equally important so Nine is not much useful to me.

Re: Exchange Problem - Moto G 2nd Gen

Actually we are not using Microsoft Exchange.

I am syncing all emails but not attachments. I tried syncing last day, last 3 days, last week etc etc but that didn't help.

If you're not using Microsoft Exchange then what are you using for corporate email?

IMAP4 or POP3?

Who is your email provider?

Re: Exchange Problem - Moto G 2nd Gen

I tried using IMAP4 but it started syncing all the emails which are around 100k. So that was a waste and then tried Exchange which caused the endless loop problem.
