Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

I can confirm that I am also facing the same issue (I own an XT1068) , be it on the stock 6.0 ROM or any custom Marshmallow ROM.

(The touch delay was also present in all the 6.0 Soak Test ROMs...)
Downgrading to Lollipop (stock or custom ROM) eliminates the issue.
The official Marshmallow kernel is B R O K E N.

I've also tried numerous settings and "solutions" , including the one you just mentioned. Factory resetting also does absolutely nothing.

To clarify ,
This is happening on :
- Soak Test 6.0 ROMs
- Official, Final 6.0 ROM
- Any custom Marshmallow ROM (Cyanogenmod, etc.)

This is not happening on:
-Stock 4.4 Kitkat ROM
-Custom 4.4 KitKat ROMs
-Stock 5.0.2 Lollipop ROM
-Custom Lollipop (5.x.x) ROMs

This is clearly a broken driver/kernel issue and needs immediate attention, as both the stock and all the custom Marshmallow ROMs are near unuseable right now.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

Same problem here (XT1063). Terrible Touch Delay (Example: Piano Tiles 2 is unplayable)

Factory Reset doesn't solve the problem.

Change Sensibility Setting, Doesn't solve the problem

Downgrading to Lollipop or KitKat SOLVE the problem

The issue is present in all Marshmallow Firmwares or Custom ROMS

Help please.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

That would be helpful for debugging this issue if all who experience the problem will share the following info from their devices:

adb shell cat /sys/bus/i2c/devices/5-0020/ic_ver
adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_ver
adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_supplier

Also reply if issue is seen/get better/get worse with any charging source connected to a phone. How about in airplane mode?

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

adb shell cat /sys/bus/i2c/devices/5-0020/ic_ver:
Product ID: s2716
Build ID: 18a02a
Config ID: 14061501

adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_ver:
0x00000000000184c2

adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_supplier:

Touch sensitivity doesn't change on airplane mode or when connected to the charger.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

Hi forums members,

I have a question for you. Does the issue occur on and off the charger?

Also, we'd like to get some information about your phones. If you  have ADB and know how to use it, please run the following ADB commands and report back the results.

adb shell cat /sys/bus/i2c/devices/5-0020/ic_ver
adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_ver
adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_supplier

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

Me too facing same issue. It doesn't alter whether charger connected or not. But after marshmallow upgrade touch sensitivity has dropped dramatically as compared to lollipop.

I will provide data sooner.....

For me it happens for keyboards, no matter which keyboard you are using.

Also no change if phone is charging/airplane mode.
