Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

I'm really glad that this issue has finally been recognised by the engineers. I face this problem on custom roms while typing on keyboards and also playing first person shooter games. The best way to test touch issue is Local Warfare Portable. It's so messed up on 6.x.x roms but on lollipop it works completely fine. I've tried the app on another device running marshmallow and that runs fine as well. Anyway, here are the stats you requested.

/sys/bus/i2c/devices/5-0020/ic_ver

Product ID: s3310b
Build ID: 1acbd5
Config ID: 14101602

the other two show permission denied and I'm not sure how to get it.

Anyway, please do not abandon this issue as this is a major problem to me, I can't stay on 6.x roms and i really love the changes.

Thanks

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

pizzadude@pizzadude-flex ~ $ adb shell cat /sys/bus/i2c/devices/5-0020/ic_ver
Product ID: s2716
Build ID: 18a02a
Config ID: 14061501

pizzadude@pizzadude-flex ~ $ adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_ver
0x00000000000184c2

pizzadude@pizzadude-flex ~ $ adb shell cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/panel_supplier
Nothing

Please fix this issue motorola. This is on a XT1064. (Moto G 2014)

Happens in all marshmallow roms. This one is in CM13. I heard it happens in the official 6.0 release also.

This issue makes games like Granny Smith, Wind up Knight, and emulators that Robert Broglia made (.emu series) not detect touch events.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

Are you gonna do ANYTHING? I mean you are not giving any update of future plans or something, are you waiting for the next security update? If you're going to discontinue the phone at least leave it USABLE.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

So, Lenovo's just going to ignore the users of one of Motorola's best selling phones and one of which got them to the top again? Shame on you, Lenovo.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

They don't care because most of the people change devices after <2 years anyway.

One thing is sure I'll rather pick my next device from another OEM. Also there are a few now that not only offer software updates but also monthly security bulletins.

Re: Moto G 2nd - Touch Delay

Can't do anything with my phone. It's so laggy since i updated. I've already tried everything, even moving to custom roms but it does not solve a thing about this. Help us, don't leave us dying in the dark. We need a solution, we payed for the device, it is your moral obligation to make it work.
