Moto G2 dual SIM not recognising SIM card

I upgraded to a Moto G 4th Gen but I kept this phone as a standby for emergencies, which was great for a while.

Recently my daughter needed our spare G2 and it wouldn't recognise her SIM nor mine even though we had used them both before.

Have tried, checking for updates turning off n on usual stuff, however under settings there is no option to select sim 1 or 2 it's greyed out, anyone had this issue and how did you fix, seems a shame as it's a great phone otherwise.

Re: Moto G2 dual SIM not recognising SIM card

Hi gillybean129

Have you tried inserting a different Sim card to check if it can be read? If the phone can read a different Sim card means that there is nothing wrong with sim card port.

You can try resetting the device with no restore before using it and try to reinsert the Sim card if it can be read. Let me know how it goes.
