moto g stolen - how to track

My phone was stolen out of my purse and I don't think I ever registered it online so that I can find it if it was lost. i keep getting alerts from my Facebook acct saying that someone keeps trying to log into my Facebook acct. How can I find my phone

Re: moto g stolen - how to track

I'm thinking your best bet is using Google Maps history see item #4 in the following link: http://trendblog.net/how-to-track-your-lost-android-phone-without-tracking-app/

Obviously you will also want to inform the police and give them the phone number for your device so they can assist on their end.

Re: moto g stolen - how to track

Go to this website:

https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager

Your phone has ADM turned on by default. Devicemanager will connect to your phone providing it is turned on and has internet connection. You have several options.

1. A map is displayed which will show you the approximate location of your phone to within 15 meters.

2. Providing you have allowed ADM to lock and erase your phone (turned off by default) you can do just that, and also make the phone ring.

see this website for more info

Re: moto g stolen - how to track

Log in to Google Device Manager and see if it is tracking your phone. You also may be able to lock and erase it.

Also - change all of your passwords, starting with google!

you can't track it then. you can report it stolen to police and carriers and maybe they can.
