No sounds after exiting "Do Not Disturb"/"Priority Only" Modes

2016-12-15, 22:50 PM

I'm having this problem -- CONSISTENTLY -- the past few days: I put my phone on either "All sounds off," "Alarms only," or "Priority only" and when I turn it off (to allow notifications/phone calls, etc again), it takes SEVERAL HOURS before my sounds come back on. Phone won't ring, notifications won't sound, music doesn't play. I've tried turning my phone off then on again; it does nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

Hello MBarron,

This is not typical. What was the last major activity that you did on the phone before you notice this issue? Did you download a third-party app? Or updated your software?

Here are some great troubleshooting videos that cover safe mode, cache clear, and factory reset. Try these suggestions and let us know if it helps.

I have the exact same issue and the only solution is to reboot the phone. I am getting tired of doing it because it has become a more frequent problem lately.
