Quick settings disabled after Marshmallow update

Recently updated to Marshamallow (MOTO 3rd Gen)

Now quick settings are disabled (the pull down notifications bar)and there is no settings cog in top right hand corner either. I have tried various solutions including:

> tapping on build number in "About Phone" to release so called hidden System UI features - no success

> There isnt an option on my phone to enable developer options

> I have tried cleaning up apps/ cache and reinstalling apps

> I have tried holding down on notifications and tapping several times on top bar

> I have reset my SD card and reformatted it

> I have tried switching phone off and back on again in safe mode

No hidden features are revealed and nothing seems to make a difference.

The Quick Settings feature is handy for enabling data, wifi, looking at battery power, etc in one swipe and now its gone.

Anyone have a proven solution before I head in to the shop that sold me it?

Thanks

Did you tap build number 7 times? Try a reset. I have never heard of not being able to access developer options. Tapping build number 7 times should work.
