Speakers stopped working on my Moto G3

My speakers suddenly stopped working so I don't get calls or message notifications.

I can make calls and use the phone directly and with an earpiece, and can be heard by the other party.  However, I cannot use my speakerphone, nor can I listen to any media without a headphone.

Please help!

I hope it's not a hardware failure but if it is there are help videos on Youtube.

Try some Software fixes first,

Re: Speakers stopped working on my Moto G3

After trying many of the posted suggestions, including some of the ones you shared, I found this amazing counterintuitive solution -  at https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/310682/MY+phones+ringer+is+not+working - to deliberately drop the phone onto a hard surface on its back.  It took me a few tries, checked results each time starting from a couple inches, and finally up to @ a foot; I removed the protective cover for the final drop.

Voila, issues resolved (for now) Smiley Happy
