Re: Moto G: I can't answer my calls!

If nothing works, it's better to send it to repair for reinstallation of the software.

Re: Moto G: I can't answer my calls!

So its too late for answering but I was waiting for lollipop to cure everything.

I have observed that when my phone is on a soft surface like a cushion or a mattress, it behaves like I said it does. It won't answer and no matter how many times I swipe to the right, the icon returns to the center as if I'm playing some game.

It happens even in safe mode.

The one workaround which works 99% of the time is: I pick up the phone from the soft surface, let it rest in air for a second then shake it very very lightly and then answer the call.

I remember a thread in which someone was saying that two finger pull down wasn't working when phone is horizontal. I think some Moto XPRT, perhaps crystallet had said something about sensors which act differently, but I couldn't find anything about it on the net and I couldn't even find that thread. And believe me when I say that I tried to search through her comments. But there are 7758!! I just couldn't search through all.

I literally searched and found out the comment here but it turns out that it wasn't related.

If you have done a reset and NOT installed any apps and the problem persists, then I would conclude you have a hardware problem.

Re: Moto G: I can't answer my calls!

I reset my phone twice without auto restore and didn't log into gmail also.
That was in august last year. Still the problem persists.
Flipkart gives guarantee only for a month and I had noticed this on the
tenth day but after five days of worthless speaking, Flipkart denied
responsibility. I hadn't discovered this forum earlier. And now I'm just
making do. It doesn't affect otherwise. And I'd say that my phone is, thank
God, otherwise very bug free. I mean, when I encounter bugs, they disappear
at the simplest and easiest workaround applied. And anyways I never keep my
phone on a cushion or mattress. So, I'm happy ☺. And very happy :-)

IDP.generic

Is IDP.generic a real threat?  It will not be isolated in the AVG vault.  I told it to do so and left it running for 5 hours and it keeps running.  No change.  Is there a solution to isolate it?

I haven't seen this reported on android. Maybe you should post in the AVG forums and ask them? It could be a false positive.

Re: Moto G: I can't answer my calls!

I got this exact bug after installing Android 9

Phone: Moto Z2

-Only way to get rid of this is reboot phone every time it happens
-Its not bluetoot realted issue ( thought so first but it happens even if you are not using bluetooth)
- Definetly software bug. Like i said it did NOT happen BEFORE android 9

- And yes, i have done factory reset

- And no , i do not use ANY third party programs related to this. Thats why i bought motorola at first place. its android not SAMSOID or SONYLOID or HUAWOID.   Its ANDROID.

Phone rings and i can swipe to answer but it pops back to answer screen.
