I have moto g xt1039 runing 5.1, a few days ago it lost mobile signal but recovered after few hours. Yesterday it was gone to never come back. wi-fi is working, gives error while searching for network, shows "aeroplane mode on" in power menu, *#*#4636#*#* menu shows radio off, but radio on button won't work.
Checked sim card, its fine. Did factory reset(hard reset) with no result.
anyone facing this problem? any help please?

Tried everything i could find in the net, including flashing 4.4.4 firmware, radio firmware, etc and etc... with no results so far.. pretty sure its a hardware issue...
I am sincerely sorry for the inconveniences with the device. Could you please update your profile information with the IMEI number of your device? Thanks

imei: 359290051002669, found a solution though, flash 4.4 full firmware, then step by step updated to 5.1. Everythings fine except it drops wifi signal quite often. I see my phone connected to the wifi-network, but cant browse. Router shows disconnected. So i have to disable and reconnect to wifi every time it happens.

The solution worked for me is, flash 4.4firmware>update(OTA)>update motorolla update services>OTAupdate to 5.1 . please let me know if this works for you too @Kettch

same problem here. I think many have the same. It's a software issue, because come and goes. Goes well for a few days and after problem reappears.
Looks like also is a 4G related issue. Leaving the setting there gets you in trouble faster, even if you have no 4G from your carrier.
Starting to think that is a piece of c#@# . and looks like something incompatible with the LTE and the carriers. unfortunately no solution from the M company
