I have been having issues with this phone since the update - at first they were blaming issues on Google since nothing works, my gmail, my gallery, nothing, so they said I can pay a deposit for them to send me a refurbish of the same exact phone that does not seem to be working on the new Lollipop network...In short my phone is now useless and Motorola could care less about an acceptable solution of replacing the phones that does not result in a customer having to go through hoops for an update they didn't ask for and in which obviously IT did not check out thoroughly. My messages freeze, my screen freezes, went through every type of trouble shooting master reset 2x.....I am done with them I will never purchase another product from them....whats sad is not one follow-up call or credit for their mistake

They could also offer an downgrade option, since my downgrade was possible I am sure they can do the same but maybe they are just hoping the owner forget about the issue and buy another phone, hmmm that's an option, Samsung next phone I think.

that's exactly my thoughts I will be purchasing a new phone --- most likely Samsung ...I am definitely considering even switching carriers because of this......

I have the same problem (Moto G LTE XT1039).
Upgraded 2 weeks ago from KitKat to 5.1 (23.21.17.peregrine_reteu.reteuall.en.EU reteu).
Before the update was possible to receive calls on 4G network, now I need to use 3G to be reachable.
Waiting for a solution.

Same problem with my XT1039.
Something new in finding the solution?
Since the problem appears only on LTE in standby mode how about to workaround it using an app that changes preferred network type to 3G when phone goes in standby mode. Does anyone now an app that could do this? I have spent couple of minutes without success.
