Unfortunately, Moto Voice has stopped.

2016-03-30, 15:07 PM

Hello guys, I have a problem with Moto X Play which i am using recently.

I don't know from nowhere I get the pop up saying ,"Unfortunately,Moto Voice has stopped." Can anyone please help me with this problem.. Because of this thing I can't hear or talk on Calls nor i can listen to any music/videos. Actually I'm having this problem after I gave my cell display to repair as the glass had broke. I don't know the shop person says me to reset my phone. So before resetting I thought you guys can help me out. Hoping for best solution.

Thank you.

Moto voice should have no impact on your making or receiving calls. Nor should it impact anything music related.

You could try clearing cache and data for the moto app. Safe mode. Or just disabling the app for now. Maybe even going into Moto and turning off the moto voice features.

If none of that works, then a reset may be in order. But I have to say, it is odd if you started having problems after getting the phone repaired.

I have disabled the app for now. Lets see if the pop up stops.. But I'm more worried about My voice problem.. That i guess i'll have to go to shop again and barge on him for doing something wrong.. Because Ofc he is the one who might have created this problem while repairing my display..

My Moto X Play running Android 6.0.1 just started doing this again today.

The pop-up is extremely annoying and rebooting the phone doesn't fix the problem.

I launched the Moto app, pressed the stars icon on the top right-hand corner and on the next screen pressed the Voice icon. On the next screen I tried unticking the Moto Voice, but it seemed to want to reset itself to ticked.

i don't know whether this is some contention between OK Google and Moto Voice?

Has anyone else managed to fix this?

Last time the problem disappeared overnight.

This thread is a bit off topic here in the Moto X 1st gen forum.
