I've had messages that takes longer to send and it was a SMS. People tell me I've sent messages twice all the time.

Have you tried and send an MMS to yourself? Just create a new message and as the recipient, put your phone number, if you receive it, then it might be the other person phone.

After a visit to a T-Mobile store and yet another call to T-Mobile support I finally reached the right person. They walked me thru some changes to my APN settings and now MMS is working again. Should have never been this difficult but at least working again.

Thank you for the update.

If you would, please note which APN settings you have now--perhaps the information that you provide might help another user facing similar troubles in the future.

Now that's weird.  Unless your APN settings switched on its own....

Have you tried a new/different SIM card?

I haven't tried a new SIM, will give that a try. Spoke to another T-Mobile tech and they seemed sure it was a hardware (phone) issue.

Re: T-Mobile and MMS

So just for the record, Motorola's customer service is awful. Called yesterday afternoon and did a few troubleshooting tasks with them. Nothing worked. When I said this phone and T-Mobile's MMS aren't compatible, the service rep answered "If you can you make and receive phone calls then its compatible". So I spent $550 on my Moto X with a Turbo Charger which I got less than 4 months of use out of before things started going wrong and Motorola will not stand behind their product. Needless to say this will be my very last Motorola device.

I do understand how you feel about the phone as it has a ton of software problems, but my friends who have t-mobile have an iphone and another android, plus my family have other android phones and we all have problems out of mms sometimes. I received 3 different texts yesterday with pics attached so it does work on the motox. I've had T-mobile since last August and used the 2013 motox verizon model up until december. At my house I never could get an mms on that phone and even though tmobile lte was at my house, the verizon model didn't have the antenna for it.. But once I left there I got them. With this phone I get them most of the time. So I do think it is tmobile and not this phone for this purpose. When my friend can't get an mms from another friend and neither have a moto x, but both have tmobile then that tells me something. It could be that your phone has an issue though.

Messages sent in duplicate is typically a tower issue.
