Moto X GSM Developer Edition factory image?

2013-11-13, 21:21 PM

Where are the stock factory images for the GSM Developer Edition kept?   I would have expected a flashable fastboot image somewhere but have yet to find one posted on Motorola's site.  Perhaps I am just overlooking it.

As far as I am aware, Motorola has not released a factory image for the Moto X Developer Edition.

I have a nandroid but it's crappy of Motorola to sell a Developer Edition device without giving users of that device a "official" stock image to revert to if we want to go back to everything original.  I guess it's good XDA is around.  Thanks Omen,

Here you go. Download is from Moto's Google Drive account by request/approval. KK and JB images are available.

there is no current restore image (4.4.2)  for the MotoX developer editions.  Why?  Earlier firmware can't be used to go back to factory.  This is POOR, Motorola.

Understand what you mean, it should be in Motorola's site by now. If you are stuck and need it, a 4.4.2 factory image is here: (Link removed) Best Regards, Kevin XDA: kpetrie77 www.androidfannetwork.com

Yep, I'm aware.  But this should be available thru official channels for a developer phone FIRST.  This is not what you expect  with a developer phone.  This image should have been posted by Motorola before updates started rolling out.

I'm running into this issue now. @motorola, Are official 4.4.2 factory images going to be made available? Or will the developer editions languish in some sort of DE purgatory where those who updated to 4.4.2 can't get back to previous versions??

Here is a link to Motorola sbf files for various versions and carriers.  I think the T-Mo version of 4.4.2 is basically the gsm developers version.

Thanks. just use RSDLite or is there another program? Been out of the SBF
loop since the Droid X days lol. I'm assuming this works to rollback to
previous versions, including from 4.4 to 4.2.2?
I also bookmarked the link as i'm guessing mods will be taking it down
shortly...
