Uninstall the unwanted/unused apps from your mobile. And keep an eye on your battery stats - as it would allow you to view which are the apps that are sucking the battery consumption more. Update your apps frequently - as they roll out - I've seen a drastic change in the improvement of my battery performance. If nothing helps, consider installing the free app "Greenify" which will enable you to Hibernate the apps that you don't want to run in the background. Even if it doesn't help, consider Factory Resetting your mobile phone by going to Settings--> Backup & reset--> Factory Data Reset. Hope this helps.

Do not overcharge your phone. Uninstall the apps you don't use or either force stop them by going to the app property.

Go To Settings > Battery and turn on "Battery Saver" . This will also help you increase your battery life.

Use dark or black themes in any apps that offer that feature. Your display is usually the #1 battery user, and the OLED screen in Moto X uses the least power to show black and dark colours (especially black). Also keep your display timeout as short as you can handle.
