Messaging error

2015-07-13, 6:39 AM

One message did not get send due to connectivity issue at the time. After connection came back on message was successfully sent. Though notification 'Message not sent' keeps on popping up in the notification list.

Is there are way to fix this?

That started after update to lollipop 5.1.

If it is still a problem, you could try clearing the cache for the messaging app. Maybe a reboot?

Reboot  done , cache done - noting helps. As soon as I touch messaging app - notification pops up. Message comes in - notification with error also pops up.

Did you clear cache for app or for phone? You could also try clearing data for message app, but you will lose messages.

The message app cache is not the same as phone cache. You could get and SMS backup app and save your messages first.   Personally I don't care about SMS messages, so I just clear the SMS app data.

I've just started having the same problem with my messaging. I've followed all the steps(cleared cache, reboot, ect...). I've also gone as far as deleting all the messages. The error keeps coming up though. Anyone know what else can be done?

Did you go into settings -apps - all apps- messaging (or messages, or Verizon message+) and clear cache and data for your messaging app?

Alpha dog, I did all of that including the phone/messaging storage. I'm not sure what else to do except reset the phone. I don't want to do that though. Thanks for the tip.

I will ask one of the Verizon guys tomorrow if they have any other ideas.  What messaging app are you using?
