3.5 Audio jack

I have a Atrix HD. Does it have the TRSS protocal for the 3.5 MM audio jack



So while on the subject does the new X2nd Gen have the above ?

Do you mean TRRS?  As in 4-conductor connector for headsets?  See this article here.



If so, I believe that the question is whether or not you can use a headset with stereo (four conductor) sound and a microphone input, yes?

I got an answer from someone on G+ that has a new Moto X.  He said that it will support use of 3.5mm headsets with mic input.



Trying to find someone with the Atrix HD...

if I recall, the Atrix 4G and HD had the same jack




 


they do have a microphone jack but not all headsets work with it




 


For example 'úniversal' and íphone' ones don't work. It has to say Android 




 


something about flipping the ground and the mic pins
