What are you trying to do that you can't do. The BT profiles on both the computer and phone need to match. On my windows 7 machine, I have different mix:

Advanced Audio Distribution Profile - source

Audio/Video Remote control (target)

Audio/video remote control

Hands free profile (audio gateway)

Headset Profile (audio gateway)

Also what version of windows?

Address book transfer is another feature people like to use, as well as basic file transfer. Some carriers allow you to use your phone as a data modem via BT - but not ATT - and WiFi hotspot is a lot faster then BT speeds.

I don't use my PC for much with BT as file stransfer is slow and streaming music to PC is just ok - but everyone's needs are different.

i use an ad hoc network to setup a PAN to get on line via the phone as well as a 3 way ad hoc PAN to include a printer. The Atrix2 also has an L2Cap profile i was told provided better audio thru BT; still toying with that. The Bt profiles the Atrix handles was on my selling factor list as i have no ISP at home.

If your bluetooth is the standard "WIDCOMM" compatible device, install that driver package first before even inserting the bluetooth radio device if its usb like mine, driver pack available thru the broadcom website.

mine mostly works for several usages but a few things are in question hence this original post, i just want every available option functioning
