Hard Brick?

2012-11-26, 3:57 AM

My Atrix2 is now hard bricked for no apparent reason.  It's not rooted and the only thing I'd installed lately was an app for plain color wallpapers.  I pressed the screen lock button and left it on the counter.  The next time I checked it nothing.  No response when the lock button is pushed, nothing when on the charger.  When I connected to my pc i got a white led and my pc tried to install a driver for OMAP4430 processor. (intermittently, it would start then stop.)

Any help would be appreciated as this is my only source of contact. I have no land line, etc.

This happened when i let my battery drain completely. Pull the battery, put it back in, and plug the phone into a wall outlet. And leave it plugged in for at least an hour.

Yeah, tried that.  I kind of expected that to be the case when I first found it unresponsive, but not that lucky....

Have you tried an external factory reset with the buttons yet?

Tried it.  No response to the button combination to initiate the boot options menu. I'm going to send it in for "repair" at this point.  It's still under warranty, so, in the long run, no harm=no foul....
