Re: Bootloader Unlock Problems?

@karpd

If you used the data scrub tool, and you get the message "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking" Then it is likely your device can't be unlocked. Either the CID value is not valid, or the device is to old

See the CID value and what is valid here https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MOTOROLA-Android-Developer/Bootloader-Unlock-Problems/m-p/3222809

See this unlocking page for eligible devices. Note that older devices may not be eligible. https://support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS87215

Amazon phones are not eligible:

"(bootloader) cid: 0x0012

(bootloader) ro.build.fingerprint[0]: motorola/payton_amz/payton:9/PPWS2
(bootloader) ro.build.fingerprint[1]: 9.69-39-6-2/d2226:user/release-key

(bootloader) ro.build.version.full[0]: Blur_Version.29.461.4.payton_amz.

@GodEvil

you can't unlock amazon devices so the message is expected:

Re: Bootloader Unlock Problems?

2019-12-25, 8:59 AM

Merry xmas everyone.

I am trying to unlock a moto g7.

The website states, it is eligable for unlocking. I copied the oem unlock info into the data scrub tool and got a key to my email addreess in response.

Unfortunately that key does not unlock the phone.

I tried it serveral times and can see the command went through in the bootloader log.

But the bootloader remains locked.

Can you help me here?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply, but as of today I didn't get any reply from them. Do you know which email address do they reply from? I checked Spam/Inbox so many times.
