Help! Someone I know has taken over my phone and I can't fix it

2020-08-13, 18:42 PM

Bare with me, I am no android expert and very unfamiliar with this stuff. I was a lifelong iPhone user until a couple months ago. have a moto e5 go. It behaved completely normally until my boyfriend got ahold of it. Now everything is messed up. Settings and options are gone from some apps, system apps are strange looking, I can't control permissions on some things, etc. Here is what I have been able to find out on my own, but I genuinely believe even my internet search results are being limited:

Through a variety of file manager apps and loads of reading these are the things I suspect and orknow:

There are two users on the phone. Mine and another I can not access or see the other user at all. I only know it exists because of some very vague mentions in files and explorers.

Some apps say I'm not rooted, others do. I can't access root storage or give permission to apps to access it.

My is what I have read to be called  "James variant" - Jamesgo
