Re: BlankFlash files for Moto X 2nd Gen (XT1092).

I passed on the request, but the phones are in this state because people downgraded and flashed their OS before taking an OTA update.

Motorola does not support flashing these phones or downgrading the OS.

In my opinion this is the same as trying to flash the wrong software and bricking your phone.

It may just be that you have to take your phones to a service center and have them flashed there - and pay for it.

However, Motorola does sell Pure Edition devices, which on numerous occasions Motorola have stated are treated the same as Developer Edition devices.

This would mean that this is covered under warranty and that the files should also be provided.

If there's already 40+ comments on this post from people with this issue surely Motorola would think smart and attempt to satisfy their customers.

Motorola, please release the blankflash files for the 2014 Moto X (2nd Gen)

The only phone that motorola provides images for is the Moto X 2014 Pure Edition. If you didn't purchase that version and you have bricked your phone, you will have to send it in for repair. This is likely not covered under warranty.

Motorola have not provided the needed files for the Moto X 2014 Pure Edition to unbrick this device after an invalid flash of the bootloader. This is why we are asking for the blankflash files.
