Hi,
I am trying to unlock the bootloader of my Moto X 2014 (xt1093) on US Cellular. I just received Lollipop (5.0.2) and decided to unlock the bootloader. I received the unlock code but when I tried to unlock I got this...
fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(fastboot) check "enable oem unlock" in developer options
(fastboot) oem unlock failed
Ok, so I went back into my developer options and tried to check enable oem unlock but there was no check box!!
I looked everywhere but there was no box to be found! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks again!

Here is the screenshot of the developer options. On the nexus, the enable oem unlock is right under the Enable Bluetooth HCI snoop log. My system version is 22.21.33.victara_usc.usc.en.US usc. My build number is LXE22.46-33

For our project, we need to unlock the bootloader. We have bought 3 Moto E phones online (but not directly from Motorola), all with the same description (Moto E - Unlocked - Global GSM). Two came with system software that was unlockable and the third came with AIO system software that was not unlockable.
Is there any way to guarantee that the Moto E's we buy will have unlockable bootloaders? Will buying from Motorola directly result in all unlockable phones?

Nope it depends on the CID of the device. Some CIDs are unlockable and others are not.

But that is exactly my question. I know the CID dictates whether a phone is unlockable or not. I want to know how I buy a phone with a specific CID so that I know it will be unlockable before I purchase it. Is there anyway to guarantee that I am buying a phone with an unlockable CID?
