10sec=Ridiculous! Ignored Display Timeout setting

Most of the time, my Citrus display times out and goes black ridiculously quickly.

No matter what the Screen Timeout Setting is set to, it times out in 10 to 11 seconds.

In fact, even if i'm using it, it times out 10 seconds after its turned on.

This usually happens even if it's plugged in.

If I power cycle it, it'll usually work normally for a little while and then start malfucntioning again.

Anyone else have this problem?  Any solutions?

Even setting the 'Screen timeout' Setting to 'never timeout' and Battery Profile (in Battery Manager) to Performance Mode doesn't help.  (I would have 'em set to Smart Mode and 2 minutes if this bug would go away.)

It happens even when my battery is full or nearly full.

Anyone else have this problem or have ideas on fixing it?  I had no success googling when the problem turned up, months ago.


I asked chat support for help.

Do you have any reports of other folks having this problem, I asked; no answer.

Predictably, a factory reset was suggested.

But Backup Assistant doesn't work. It tries to contact Verizon, and fails. sad
