Moto Defy and Defy + is capable to run ICS... and you have earnd a lot of money with this phone..

I dont care about Motoblur.. ASOP is good enough..

 @Kaushal

Currently there are no upgrades for any Motorola Phones to ICS.

Re: Android 4.0.3 ICS

Before rushing off for the latest and greatest versions, please note that stability is more important than anything else, unless one uses the phone for fun only.

Currently myself and a lot of other Motorola Defy+ owners are in ... trouble ... with the first update received for this phone which upgraded the factory installed Android 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 resulting in having no more data traffic possible over mobile networks (possibly related to APN loading/interpreting issues).

Give me back the working factory installed Android 2.3.4 instead of more trouble ... unless another rock-solid version appears, 2.3.6 seems not to be one of them :-( ... again I do not mind beta testing but not on my core phone.

Re: Android 4.0.3 ICS

Since Motorola was bought by Google I would have thought they would have the latest Android OS without bugs

Re: Android 4.0.3 ICS

There is no Android phone without bugs!

Untill now, Motorola announced ICS updates for devices with 1Gb RAM. I hope it will release a faster ROM for Defy+. I don't want ICS, just a better ROM.

L.E. Motorola confirmed that will never update Defy+ to ICSNot a single update... and Motorola signed that accord that will update a handset at least for 18 months. MOTOROLA PRO+ have the same specs but it is in evaluation & planning. And Motoluxe is a piece of s*** with its 800 MHz and Adreno 200 and it is still in evaluation & planning.

Re: Android 4.0.3 ICS

The list on the above list pretty much spells it out, no ICS for us unless we do it our selves, without Motorola/Google support.  This further points out the issues with Android and it's maker dependent re-issue w/ custom skins deployed.  While I agree stabiliy is key, what is different in this reality vs. the old days of custom phone OS that where static and draconianly locked down?

Re: Android 4.0.3 ICS

I loved Motorola in the old days with the flip phone etc

After reading this especially defy+ not getting ICS, the poor customer service, the random restarts with the defy+

I'm disappointed in Motorola; I bought the Defy+ in good faith, also thinking well if it will be owned by Google then it will have the latest updates etc.

Regrettably Defy+ will be my last Motorola Purchase
