Electrify: upload error

I am receiving upload error message when trying to upload photo to Facebook.  Have uninstalled and re-installed FB app with no luck.  I have a Motorola Electrify android 2.2 system.  Please advise.

Re: Electrify: upload error

For some reason, probably my own error, I can't seem to copy and paste tonight, or I'd give you a link. If you'll click Phones at the top, you can browse for your model, and ask your question to other Electrify users. . Perhaps someone in there has an answer for  you.

Re: Electrify: upload error

Are you trying to use the app itself or another app that works with facebook?

I don't have this phone so I can only help so much.

Others here should be able to help if its a phone issue.

Re: Electrify: upload error

It is called an "upload error" when I go to my picture gallery, my library, select action or quick upload options. When I select either option it will try to upload & then give me the "upload error message. I have also tried to email an attached picture via email and get a error message the email can't be sent.

I think it stems from my picture gallery and  for some reason my pictures have become too large. I haven't had trouble the past 8-9 months. The problem just started approx. 2 weeks ago. Is there a way I can resize my pics?

Thank you

@graymare2

Can you give more info on the pictures "Details" about size that is causing your error.

Does this happen on both 3G connection and/or WiFi only use? You might have a limit set on the phone for 3G file size that is allowed to send.

Re: Electrify: upload error

I get the up load server error on both 3G and Wi-Fi. I have briefly seen a notice several times that said picture is too large.

How would I change the 3G file size?

Check your Settings > Battery & Data Manager > Data Saver:

  • see Gallery:... if Data Saver is checked then videos and pictures larger than 5MB will delay until you have WiFi.

  • see Email... email attachments larger than 750KB wait until WiFi connection.

And of course, if the Social applications > Sync over Wi-Fi only: is checked, this will effect data exchange in those applications.
