Yes. That is my number and it said something was initialized when I dialed #Eliot#

Looks like you are active again. Can you check for updates to see what happens?

Make sure if you are not connected to Wifi that the option for Menu > Settings > Data Manager > Data Delivery > Social Applications > Sync Only over wifi is not checked. If you are connected to wifi then you should be fine.

Can you also tell me what happens if you go to Menu > Settings > Accounts > Add Account and add anything other than Google?

Skype isn't a MOTOBLUR app. Facebook can be a MOTOBLUR or standalone. Can you add the Facebook account? If you have a Facebook Icon in your app tray you have the standalone app installed. I want you to use the Motorola one.

Factory reset may be the way to go if it doesn't work. You need to connect to our servers to get updates/upgrades.

I can't speak for ICS. Sometimes you can jump software and other times you have to download in order. Shouldn't be any reason you need yo go ROM route.

Roaming is where I would start.  I bought the phone and have it on my gf's parents plan,  we have moved away and I can't check for updates unless I go back in their local area.  p.s. We don't have roaming fees.
