XT701: The SDCard doesn't exist!

I just bought the Motorola Milestone XT701 yesterday(I am an American living in Taiwan, so can't get the Droid or Droid X, and I have this message pop up on me (The Subject Title).

It will not let me use file manager to go through the SD card that came default in the phone, and I get that error when trying to download apks from websites (Trying to test a apk from a 3rd party vendor).

Anyone know why I am getting this message? I can download apps directly to the phone from GMS, I can play my music files stored in the SD Card, I just can't do these two things (All that I have found as of this point).

Re: XT701: The SDCard doesn't exist!

Are you using the default web browser in the phone when trying to download the .apk's?  Which file manager are you using to browse the sd card, is it quick office or Astro?

The default browser, and the default file manager that came with the moto milestone xt701. It looks like the Astro file system, but not sure, it was a pre-install.

If you download Astro file manager through the marketplace this app will allow you to download any file through the phones browser.

Re: XT701: The SDCard doesn't exist!

It ended up finally stopping this error.

Not sure why, but eh, it works correctly.

Possibly I just had to wiggle my SD card or something.

Were you attached to your PC with the USB cable while experiencing this?  If so accessing the SD card simultaneously from the phone and computer is not possible.
