I got my Otterbox in the mail last night and already love it - I know it seems a little pricey, but considering I paid nearly $20 for a much crappier plastic-only case for my last phone (a Nokia 5800), paying $30 - $35 for the Otterbox is well worth protecting your $400+ phone (or, in my case "free", but it has to last me for two years!). The dual layer case (the inner layer a soft silicon and the outer layer is a separate piece of hard, protective plastic) I think is going to protect really well and I already feel better that my six day old phone is no longer "naked". I'm happy to post some pictures, but the irony of having it ON my phone is that I can't really take pictures of it "installed" WITH my phone - sometime in the next day or so I'll take and upload some pics with my digital camera.

I don't find it bulky at all - it fits really nicely with the phone. There are two separate pieces - the soft silicone layer and then the hard outer shell. I took pieces of each piece (and the phone) separately and then each step of fitting them together. Hope this helps!

Wow looks really nice. Any chance you can post a pic of the case put together next to the xt720 both in side profile view so I can see how much thickness it adds to the phone? Thanks so much!! Glad to see someone finally making some custom cases for the XT720.

I have been using this fitted leather case for months now, an eBay search for the XT701 would have found it. I did my reseach, ordered it & it fits the XT720 perfectly.
It's the best protection you will get & only $26.

I'm waiting on an Otterbox from Cincinnati Bell. In the mean time, though, I found that my old $6 Blackberry Storm silicon case fits it almost perfectly with good access to all the buttons. The camera lens and charging port are covered, of course, but at least I've got some temporary protection.
