Dropped my XT720 on the sidewalk this morning.. ERRRRRRRRRRRRRrr!
Marred the chrome bezel pretty badly... anyone know if a replacement part is available?

Ouch! There are some sites that have replacement parts for different phones but I have not seen any specific part for the bezel of the phone.
I take it you don't have insurance on the phone?

I found one site that has the entire OEM housing for $99.99.
& one site with the XT701 housing for $35.00 (with black back instead of blue).
Now just need a teardown guide...
& no, I do not have phone insurance.....Doh!

Update: I haven't worked up the moxy to crack the case open... thinking of ordering the parts next week. The XT-701 OEM housing is $34, the OEM XT-720 is $99. Looking at the face plates, they look identical, so I'm thinking of tryin the 701 first. Also, looking for an online 'teardown' guide for the XT720... found one for the original droid + the droid x, hopefully they are similar in construction. I'll post again when I do it....

Yah I see the two pieces you're talking about are u looking on cnn.cn/shop? If you're just looking to swap the bezel I think both will do. Only difference I can see is the battery cover doesn't come with the XT701 kit. I'm pretty sure the xt720 kit is blue though it dosent specify. If I was to buy the xt701 kit I'd be without a blk. battery cover. Hmmmm.

UPDATE: I ordered the XT-701 package, haven't received yet. Also, bought a rubberized casing (SGP Case), produced in South Korea off Ebay. Great quality & look... It's like a batman suit... protects entire phone (included a screen protector, but not using it... using Zagg). I'll let ya know if I'm able to replace the bezel when it shows up in a week or two.

yeah, bought the parts, then took phone apart (very carefully).
Got down to point where I needed to detach the screen from the bezel & didn't have the guts to follow through.. parts got very very small + solder... put it back together & now I have small splotches on my screen.. not sure if I tightend some screws down too far or what. Currently using a rubber SGP case from Korea, made for the Motoroi... It covers bezel blemishes & is much slimmer than the goofy Otterbox case.
