I thought I could see the most current workout, but it turns out that I can only see Sunday's workout...cannot see Tuesday's.  Very random which workouts I can see the details on...definitely something less than 10% of them.  I can see details fine on the watch itself but nothing on the website via any browers that I have or device (laptop, desktop, and ipad...firefox, IE, safari, chrome).  Spoke to Motorola support this morning...they said they are "starting" to get enough complaints that they are thinking it is the website and not the devices...duh.  If you are having this issue, please take the time to call it in and complain (it does take some time to get through the 'Level 1' person to somebody who actually deals with Motoactv).  I really don't think they give a crap about this forum anymore.

This happens to me as well, randomly and frequently. I am unable to pinpoint any conditions to associate with it. Did your call to Motorola result in any helpful information?

It's clearly a website data parsing problem (IMHO).

I can view my workout data fine on my Android phone which is syncing with the same database so the database is okay.

I also spoke to Motoactv this morning and they are investigating the website.

As for my workouts, I can see a custom/other with and ANT+ heartrate monitor, but I cannot see an elliptical with the same ANT+ monitor so, no, I don't find a pattern...

Nothing that was helpful...other than that they thought it was a website problem and that they don't deal with website problems.  The person said he would elevate the issue.

No ryhme or reason as to which workouts I can see and which I can't.  It does seem like I can see a greater proportion of the workouts during which I did NOT listen to music (mainly those on the bike...almost always listen to music when I run).  As much as it pains me, I'm going to do my next run without music from the motoactv and carry the trusty ole' ipod to see if I can isolate this.

Music is an interesting observation I never took that into account. From the Android app none of the music metrics show up that are supposed to which lends itself to your idea. I guess I'll have to try today without music on the Motoactv and see if the webpage can load the workout. Again though this shouldn't be something we sacrifice as users since it's a touted feature.

Ahhh! Music.

The one I cannot see I was listening to music and the one I can I was not listening.

If you look at the details of the error being returned (in a JavaScript debugger) you will see the following:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: fromIndex(975) > toIndex(974)
...
at com.gault.portal.services.WorkoutService.getWorkoutSongs(WorkoutService.java:741)

Re: Unable to process the request

For me, the most recent workout that I cannot see (Tuesday) also contains no music data on the app, and I was listening. However, this mornings music is also missing music data on the app, but I can see this workout on the portal, complete with music. The HR zones were all wrong though, just like they were on Tuesday. The device has been coaching me for HR zones that I did not set, and the workout that I can see has a table of jacked up zones. The custom zones I programmed reset themselves to 0 bpm, and they are interspersed with arbitrary zones with targets in the 200's for a total of EIGHT zones. My settings still read the custom zones that I programmed, so can't figure out a way to stop it from doing this when I work out.

I think you guys all need to work for Motorola! You have figured it out before they did. I jut hope they get the bugs out soon. You would think they would test this stuff out before releasing updates to the public.
Welcome to my World, where nightmares are the best part of my day.

Re: Unable to process the request

2012-07-26, 19:25 PM

After doing a factory reset on the device it appears that
the "Unable to process the request" message (which precluded any
workout data from appearing) and the elevation bugaboo is remedied, at least
temporarily and only on workouts from this point forward. Older workouts that
failed to display elevation, or failed to display any information (the
"unable to process the request " message) remain locked down and non
responsive. Doing so, while losing all history on the device, does not remove
the history from the cloud associated with the existing account. This was done
following Level 2 tech suggestion to factory reset the device and create new
user account with different email.

Finally, following conversation with third Level 2 tech, I was advised that Moto is readying an
update of the web portal. The tech advised that they are aware of the elevation
problems and that this revision is slated to address such problems. Lets hope that
they also incorporate some other greatly needed changes to the site including
tabulation of workout data by week, month & year and the ability to
download data in .tcx, .gpx or other more universal format suitable to work
with Strava, Map My Ride, Endomondo, etc. without having to resort to CSV
conversion. I'm sure those of you viewing this forum have many other
suggestions that Moto might also include in a redesigned site.

One caveat, the tech either would not or could not say when the update to the site would roll out.
It might help if Moto hears from its customers a bit of positive encouragement
and urgency regarding this issue. On the plus side, this suggests that rumours
of the device being canned may be unfounded. Thanks, Moto, and we look forward
to the improvements ahead!

To be clear, after doing a factory reset, once you resync the device with the portal, using your
existing email/account, the various workouts previously posted are restored to
the device,,fyi...
