Works with USB sync?

I've been having the "Unable to process" the request error for weeks now. This week as usual I ran with a wired headset and ANT+ HRM. The only difference was that I was out of town and had to use USB to sync my workout instead of wireless. Much to my surprise, the workout displayed correctly on the portal.

More data points needed, but the wireless sync may be the culprit.

guys

got curious and had another look at this. When I put this:

https://motoactv.com/workout/rawDataCsv.csv?workoutActivityId=xxxxxxx

and then manually put the workoutid on the end, the csv was delivered by motoactv.com, however it is quadruple repeated. Each line in the csv is entered 4 times.

can it be the post to the database has been screwed up?

I can confirm that since I started having this issue I have one workout that shows correctly in the portal. That one workout was sync'd by USB the rest by wifi. That is the only difference as I always listen to music using blutooth and have an ant+ heart rate montor.

We think we know what this is.

Our guys think the problem comes up when songs are quickly skipped during a workout. This was putting a lot of "garbage" data into the upload. They think they have fixed it and that it will be implemented in the next update, probably next week, mid-week. The fix should be retroactive.

Thanks for all the reports and information on this. Sorry for the problems!

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

Hmm. I have done many workouts without skipping any songs and still had this issue, so I suspect the root cause is more than just users skipping songs quickly. Anyway, good to know that a fix is being released - this has been quite frustrating!

not so sure I skip songs rapidly.... I did notice a change though, the route map from my last few workouts without music are now visible on the portal ... wonder if i dare use music on my next ride....

Thanks, Matt, for the response.  I know this issue is frustrating to you just as it is to us.  Its good to hear from someone at Moto simply so we know that you're aware of these issues.  In addition to a pending device update, is there any likelihood that the portal will be revised to address some of its current limitations?  The elevation issue for example..., would that be addressed through the device update or through a portal revision?  There are some simple improvements to the portal that seem essential to me, such as tallys of weekly, monthly, and annual stats.

Re: Unable to process the request

Hi,

Same here.

I updated the device today, whereas before I could upload data, now I cannot. I beleive this may be the music issue, but really ?? The whole point of the device IS to play music, and use GPS.

Im really quite frustrated,  I was being kept slightly happy I could upload to strava, and see the maps to get info from there. First the elevation went, then the maps went, I damaged the screen getting it out of the ridiciously hard to get out of clip to be told "its break resisitant, not breakproof", and now unable to view my data.

I think I shall email the shop I purchased it from (Quite a good" sweaty" trainer store - read between the lines) and voice concern that they are stocking a duff product, and Im also sure that watch dog is also an interesting road to go down, someone on here quite rightly said you are not getting what you paid for.

I dont want to go on the hate bangwagon, Im easily pleased, if it works, I'll be a happy bunny again, but its getting annoying now.
