Re: Unable to process the request

2012-08-03, 15:21 PM

I installed the recent update and the two major issues with the Motoactv are occuring. About midway through the run the music will start skipping (without any fastforwarding) and after I synced the device I still get the Unable to Process Request error. When I run with no music, which misses the point of the device, I do not have these issues.

The device and syncing seemed to work properly when I first got the Motoactv, does anyone know if there is a way to go back to a previous version of the device software?

Sleestack. Some of us have had luck with uploading our workouts through usb instead of wifi. While it's a pain hopefully it will not be necesarry any more once moto fixes the problems with the update that Matt has said will be out next week.

Cool. Thank you. So just plug in the Motoactv and sync through the motocast software? Do I have to uncheck the music?

No when you select device -> sync it is not syncing the music. Just make sure you don't let it sync your workout via wifi first or it won't see it as a workout to sync by usb. Let me know if this works for you.

Re: Unable to process the request

I have owned this watch one week. On my run today, I started having the same issues. Songs started skipping, then half the display screen froze. Only total elapsed time and miles were working.. No music the rest of the run.  I got the 'unable to process request' error when syncing w/ wifi tonight. I really hope these issues will be resolved next week, or I may regretfully be returning this watch.

Thank you for the response Matt.. I will keep my fingers crossed that these issues will be resolved.

Same thing happens to me so this is something that needs to be resolved as a common problem. To all of those recent posts that are so pleased with Motoactv I congratulate you. To those of us who have had problems with no resolution I would suggest wait your turn and don't minimize us or label us as complainer. I suspect most of us are wayyyy to busy to be complaining for no reason.

It happened again today. I was actually feeling good because I started my run and I wasn't having the problems I usually have such as incorrect coaching prompts and erratic HR readings. But partway through my run the music started skipping, so I will be visiting that thread as well. And now as I sit to fill out my journal, it turns out that I can't. I cannot remember the last time that all of the features functioned properly at once.

I just got my watch last week and got one good workout sync...the the "unable" error on sync. No issues  I'm having red ring of death (xbox) deja vu... I was so excited to use this thing...No problems with the music feature (although it's not loud enough for me)...
