Tapiriik

2014-11-05, 16:29 PM

Has anyone else asked Tapiriik to support syncronization through his website to Garmin, Strava, Runkeeper, etc.?  I would encourage everyone to do so.  It would be the most complete and useful syncronization method.  I'm a paid user of tapiriik (only $2 a year).  I have it syncing Garmin, Strava, and Runkeeper.  I can use the Motoactv then the Redsneaker workout pusher to get the workouts to Runkeeper but that requires that I log in and push it everytime.  Redsneaker claims to do this automatically for you if you become Runkeeper Elite through his website but I'm now Runkeeper Elita (at $40 a year) and haven't seen an auto update yet and can't get any response to inquiries to Redsneaker.  Plus, $40 a year it pretty expensive for a sync when Tapiriik syncs multiple sites for a mere $2 a year.  I don't know that the other Runkeeper Elite benefits are that great.    Again, I'd encourage everyone to ask Tapiriik to support the Motoactv.

I sent an email to Collin Fair with Tapairiik.  He is willing to look into it.  He needs the API.  Not sure what that is.  Any help would be appreciated.  This could be the break we are all looking for with the Motoactv.  Please help.

I just sent an email to their contact@tapiriik.com email.

The API was made open source I believe...I'll see if I can find it.

I think the API can be found here...I'm not a developer, so I don't understand it 100%.  I would love to see this work though!  The tcx exporter seems to not want to automatically update...I have to export it almost every time.  The tcx exporter will be handy if Moto ever pulls the website down though.

Ssmorol, I sent that link to Collin yesterday but have not heard back from him.  Hopefully, that is what he needed and we can convince him to help us out.  It would be really exciting to see him allow tapiriik to sync motoactv with the other repositories.

Would love to have it too.  I use tapiriik already but manually export from the Motoactv site to Garmin.  I've also used Redsneaker to do the import into Runkeeper as well and used tapiriik to populate the rest.

Having tapiriik do the synchronization would be very welcomed.
