In Android 4+ this is a built in feature. You do not have to do it manually like you did on 2.3.X.

This will automatically been done while the apps are installing.

Thanks,

What do you mean by built in feature and automatically done?  I've installed a couple dozen apps so far and every one of them installed to the internal memory, none of them to my SD card.

I use an app named App 2 SD and it has worked well for me. Keep in mind that not all apps function properly when moved to the SD card.

The apps2sd is a built in function that will move the apps that support this function to the internal memory. There is  allocated memory for app storage. I don't think you can move this location without modding your phone.

Even with apps2sd app, you still have no option to move apps to sd like you did on Ginger Bread (2.3.X). The app will run, but it will only show you where things are, you will not be able to move anything since this is a feature of ICS (4.0+)

Thanks,

J

The origional poster is correct as is the comment by stet. Nothing is on the SD card and no way I can find to do it. So called Experts like Remy should keep there opinions to themselves if they have no clue as to what they are talking about. If you don't want to take peoples word for the issue and you don't know for sure, just keep you comments to yourself.

I have not seen any Motorola phone that allows you to move apps to your external sd card. When I refer to apps 2 sd, I'm talking about the internal memory. Thank you for the kind words. Happy holidays

I am able to easily move apps and their support files to the removable SD Card on my Motorola XPRT running the stock OEM OS.

My understanding is that ICS (4.0.x) has blocked this feature because it has caused problems for users who move apps to the removable SD then remove or replace the SD and wonder where all their apps went.

<rant>Motorola needs to move away from the fiction of an internal and an external SD Card - that in itself is even more confusing to a user than the features removed by ICS. When an average user refers to the SD Card they are referring to the actual, physical, removable, SD Card, not to some imaginary internal partition of built in memory that created a virtual SD Card. Just call it phone memory, or RAM, or storage, or something that actually makes sense. Don't call it an SD Card and confuse everyone.</rant>

Found a great app, Sandisk Memory Zone.  Moves music, photos, apps between internal and SD card!  Not sure about the apps not working when moved to memory card.  I mainly wanted an easy way to move photos and music around.  I know alot of apps couldn't be moved with previous versions, so for now I have plenty of internal memory and will probably just leave them be.
