Razr V text notification

2013-05-16, 5:49 AM

I have a smart action set up to turn down the volume at night. However, the 'notification ringer' is seemingly unaffected by the phone 'volume'. Is there another way to change the volume of the notification ringer using a smart action? Or should i download a different app to use in conjunction with smart actions?

Alrighty then, think i got it figured out. Having the ringer low + vip high actions on the same trigger wasnt the issue, i had an altogether different smartaction that was conflicting my sleep rule. Disabled that other rule= no more conflict warning= reconsidering throwing my phone at the wall for now. These smart actions are my biggest/almost the only reason that i havent tried to get rid of this phone yet. And for now...my confidence is restored in them.

Are you using the preloaded suggestion for Sleep? It has the settings to Silent / Vibrate the phone in a specific time. It has also a trigger that will ring loud for important people only.

Yes i am, this sets the volume of the ringer (voice calls), but doesnt seem to affect the notification (text message) ringer.

The sleep smart action specifically says that it adjusts the volume of both the ringer and notification. Yet my phone is still going off at maximum volume from a nonVIP contact. However, the smart action says 'conflict' on the tab. Im guessing that it is in conflict with my vip smart action, but that doesnt explain why the non vip contact still rings at max volume, even when my manual volume setting is set to one position above silent. I will try to make the quiet ring and vip ringers as seperate smart actions altogether and see if it helps.
