I took my Xoom 2 ME with me on vacation as a backup for my navigation system. The GPS part of the system however had stopped completely to the point where a factory reset was needed to bring it back. Since I didn't have a reliable wifi connection while abroad, I could not re-download Sygic and thus no navigation on the road. Great.

It seems this has happened to more people, the xoomforum show at least two others that suffered from the same issue. I guess this is a software issue since a reset brought the GPS back to life.

Also, it is unclear to me if the system actually is assisted GPS? It says so on several websites, but feeding GPS assistance data to the unit doesn't seem to work.

Am I alone in this? Is your unit stable? Mine regularly goes into nirvana, needing a "power button + volume plus" to reboot it. Not very happy with the unit as it is now...

BTW, is this unit the same thing as the Motorola XYBoard 8.2?
