system update broke my wifi

2011-11-22, 15:37 PM

So I got a notification today saying there was a system update today. So i proceed to download and install it only to find that after it restarted that my wifi won't turn on. After trying to enable it from the system menu it just says error.

So my tablet is basically useless to me now. Very disappointed no movies available on the market no 3.2. Now no wifi

If this bootloader  was unlocked at least i would be able to nandroid back.

Talk about customer dissatisfaction. So how in the hell am i able to undo this awesome system update?

I just did this update and I'm showing Moto_MZ505_1.006.01_WIFI_GEN.

No problems with my Wifi though.

Moto_MZ505_1.006.01_WIFI_GEN is the update. Several restarts later, the same issue persists.

Try putting the phone in airplane mode and turn the Xoom off with airplane mode on. Turn the Xoom back on and turn airplane wifi on and then then turn airplane mode off.

I tried this multiple times and this does not alleviate the problem. I may just go return this zoom to Best Buy now.

I'm unsure to what this was supposed to fix/update but it seems like the audio volume got louder/fixed.

How can i find out details about this update? After reading this thread I am hesitant to install the update if it will break wifi or make my Xoom FE sluggish.
