Anybody else having problems?

This morning I tried to reply to a text and my motospeak did not work. It works normally in finding contact and supposedly taking message bit then it says working andthe iimmediately says day your message again and we just keep going through that until I give up. It will make a phone call properly and read a text message just not send one. Is that server down again, like happened around the first of the year? Never did find what fixed that, it just started working again.

My Motospeak was working pretty good for me up until this morning.  I am having the same issue…it will read my incoming text but then cannot send a reply…gets stuck in the loop of Try Again…Try Again…Try Again.  I am in a very good 4G signal area, so I know I have data connection.  This sounds almost exactly like what happened last time (about a year ago).  The speech to text portion is transmitted from the phone to a server (or servers) somewhere…gets put together and then sent back to the phone.  It sounds like the issue is at the server (s) again.  Last time, quite a few people reported calling Moto Tech Support and filing a Help Ticket (or whatever they call it) and then eventually it just started working again.  I would recommend calling Moto Tech Support and opening a ticket…the more that do the quicker this might be resolved.  I plan on calling when I get home from work later today.  Since My Motospeak is listed as a “Sunset App” there probably is not much support left for it…but if the problem is not in the app but in the server that the app uses and people submit tickets…it will hopefully  get fixed again.

The problem is back. A year or so ago we had this problem and it took months before it was fixed. Don't think we ever found out what fixed it but it wasn't Motospeak as the app was never changed. It has to be something to do with Google voice to text. I hope somebody in the know can get the problem fixed quick. The threads are probably somewhere in the archives if you want more info.The failure is the same pn my MOTO xAnd MOTO g

According to the Moto rep that closed my support ticket...it was the server that computes the voice to text...then send the text back to your phone.  Everyone that uses My Motospeak should call Moto Tech Support and submit a help ticket...so this might get fixed quicker than last year.

I just tried to chat with a associate, waited 35 minutes and then was notified that there was no agent available. I originally started as #2 in queue, then 1, then bye bye...

Not sure what to say about your chat experience, but the Motospeak app is no longer supported. I guess everything is being moved to the built in voice recognition on the phone.

So since Motospeak  is the only program that works with the Roadster they are telling everyone that purchased their Roadster  you can't use it anymore. sad

Since it apears Motorola is not fixing the problem in a timely maner I activated Assist on my MotoXand am testing voice texting with it. I also tried to find a CEO e-mail at ceoemail.com but the person listed for Motorola Connect has a locked e-mail address. And I had a nice long complaint for him. Anyone know of a high level EXEC we could pester or a way of finding one.

I called the number in the Roadster 2 book. Level 2 is suppose to call me back. probably a cold day in hell if they do. Anyway if anyone wants to help the cause of getting it back call 1-877-668-6258.

Well it looks like I finally got my answer. My Motospeak is going away. I talked to the upper level tech and he said it was being replaced by Motorola Voice Commands. I didn't find that specific app but I installed all the Motorola voice apps. I have been using Google Now. I set up the Assist app and can now send text and it reads the text out and prompts me to answer. It all works pretty much as My Motospeak did. I uninstalled My Motospeak and the Roadster is connected to the phone by BT. and behaves as Motospeak does. Just fon't have to press the button to start anything. Just say google now and what you want to do.



Maybe those with other brand phones can chime in on the voice apps on their phones.
