How to REALLY perform a factory reset on your Mirage Solo

2018-08-23, 2:41 AM

So, if you read this:

https://smartsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/smart/arvr/mirage-solo/za3c/solutions/HT506613

or this:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Mirage-Solo-Camera-Solo/Factory-Reset-Mirage-Solo-with-Daydream/ta-p/4077180

and you still can't factory reset, try it this way instead.

Start with a full charge and with the device powered off.  If it's powered on on then hold power about 2-3 seconds to shutdown.  If it's hung (light is still on or white pulsing light won't quit after 30-45 seconds) hold the power button for 10 seconds to force shutdown.

Power up to enter the boot screen:

Hold the volume up key, keep it held.

Hold power just long enough for the display to turn on, release power but keep holding the volume button.

You should see the "no command" prompt, release the volume button.

Open the boot menu:

It's a quick step, less than 2 seconds.

Hold power, then imediately tap/release volume up, release power.

Do it right and you go straight to the menu

hold power too long and it will reboot and you have to start over.

follow the rest of the instructions in the link to factory reset.

Hope you backed up, because it will delete everything on internal storage.
