Mirage Solo: no display. Alternating gray black screen.

I get system level UI - "Worldsense resumed" etc but the home screen won't launch and neither will apps. I even tried launching apps via adb but get the same problem. Logos during boot look normal.

 

Questions:

 

1. Is this forum really the only support option? I've been clicking around the website for 10 minutes trying to find a normal "Contact support" link

2. I'm tempted to try a factory reset over adb but if it doesn't fix the problem I might be unable to access the UI to authorise adb again. Could someone from Lenovo please advise whether this is a good option?

I am having the similar issue too, but instead of a gray-black screen, my screen flash between pale dark red and gray-black about every 0.5 seconds.

 

I can see the beginning Lenovo and daydream intro text and icon when starting the device,

I can still hear the menu background environmental sound through an earphone,

I can see volume UI when changing volume through the controller or the right side volume buttons,

 

but other than above, the screen remains to flash between pale dark red and gray-black color.

A factory reset fixed it for me (by rebooting into recovery mode rather than via adb).

I'm still perplexed how to contact support in case of a fault where I genuinely need a Lenovo contact to assist. There's been no official response to this in nearly 24 hours. I presume there's email/web support but I'll be **bleep** if I can find it on the website.

if no, can you describe your own workflow of how you reboot the device?

 

I did as the instruction stated, pressed both the power button and volume up button, release when screen flash(display daydream and Lenovo logos), but never be able to catch "No command" on the screen as described in the instruction... follow the subsequent step and nothing display on the screen.

 

really appreciate if you are able to help, thanks!

thank you for the link! Apparently not wearing the device for the first step is the key, I am able to reboot into recovery mode now.
